The ideal candidate must be very detail oriented, organized, personable, an effective multi-tasker, and have excellent communication skills. Job duties include human resource management, recruiting, coordinating benefits and insurance plans, arranging travel itineraries, handling correspondence, and working on ad hoc projects with little supervision.

Location: Germantown, MD (must be able to commute to office daily)

Job Summary:


Recruiting tasks:

  • Maintain and update job postings on career sites and school boards
  • Review resumes and present strong candidates to HR Manage
  • Conduct initial phone screens with candidates
  • Communicate via phone and/or email with candidates to set up interview dates, to fill out application, etc.
  • Attend school career fairs
  • Search resume databases for candidates
  • Organize existing and create new databases of candidates and applicants
  • Conduct reference checks
  • Create interview folders and create calendar invitations for hiring managers.
  • Ad hoc tasks as needed

HR Tasks:

  • Maintain insurance files and information for two offices
  • Collect documentation and maintain files for onboarding and offboarding employees
  • Create calendar notices for new employee benchmarks (performance evaluations, insurance eligibility, etc.)
  • Organize annual training for staff
  • Preparing for company events throughout the year
  • Ad hoc tasks as needed

Job Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or related degree a plus.
  • Experience in administration and recruiting.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Must have strong organization skills, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
